Computing and Internet Facilities
Around 100 computer systems with latest configurations have been purchased and installed in different labs and students make use of them.
Two numbers of 300 Mbps Unlimited Fiber Broadband connectivity from BSNL has been installed in the Library and the Laboratory for the benefit of the staff and students. Wi-Fi connectivity is also provided within the campus for the staff and students, through Layer-3 Sophos Firewall with 10 Access points across the campus.
This firewall and access point facility for Campus Wi-Fi has been implemented under RUSA scheme, through DHTE, puducherry. This project facilitates a 40 Mbps (20 nodes of 512 Kbps each) under National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT) Project promoted by MHRD, New Delhi and implemented through BSNL, Kumbakonam. Internet access is available through BSNL-MPLS Cloud with Unlimited data access.
