KHEL UTSAV ‘24 and Cultural Festival (EUPHORIA‘24) were held on 19.07.2024 and 20.07.2024 at Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Institute of Engineering and Technology (PKIET), Karaikal to showcase their artistic and sports skills. Mr. M Ramadoss, Secretary Cricket Association of Puducherry (CAP), Mr. G Arivazhagan, Secretary, Karaikal District Cricket Association (KDCA) and Mr. G Kalaiarasan, Volleyball Coach, and Ms. V Sasikala & Ms. Kanimozhi, who participated and won in International Beach Volleyball from Karaikal, were the special guests on the occasion. Kanimozhi also graced the sports festival.
Students were divided into four groups (Bouncers, Rockers, Shockers, Warriors) and various sports and cultural competitions were held over a fortnight.
The students participated with great enthusiasm and showed their talents. The sports competitions were well organized and conducted by the Director of Physical Education Mr. R. Rajavarman, Professors Mr. M. Pravinkumar, Mr. K. Gnanamurugan, Mr. S. Tiroumal Mouroughane and the sports committee.
Professors and a number of students alumni were officiated as judges. All the professors and all the staff members gave their full cooperation to make the competitions and programs successful.
The Principal Dr. M. Aramudhan and Vice-Principal Dr. S. Manikandan distributed prizes to the winners of the events held on 20.07.2024. Finally, students' performances were held on an open stage set up in the college's playground.
